Cherrybrook homes were mostly built in the 1980s and 1990s and are now due for their second or third repaint. We handle the trims, the render, the interiors and the decks, quoted fixed.

A Cherrybrook home painted at build and once since is usually showing chalking on western fascias, hairline cracks in render at window corners, flaking on timber sills and gloss loss on front and garage doors. The fix is methodical: wash, scrape to a sound edge, etch-prime metal, spot-prime timber, fill render with a flexible compound and finish in UV-stable exterior systems. Done at this stage, it costs a fraction of waiting for bare timber and rust.
Rendered and bagged brick is common in Cherrybrook, often added over the original face brick during a renovation. We check adhesion, rake and fill cracks, seal bare patches and coat in a premium or elastomeric acrylic that handles movement. Cement-sheet upper storeys and gable infills are washed, sealed and coated in the same system for a consistent finish across materials.
Inside, Cherrybrook homes have big living areas, textured or set ceilings, a lot of timber architrave and skirting and often a stairwell void. Ceilings are rolled with the right nap, timber is finished in enamel and walls in washable low-sheen, with voids reached from platforms. Outside, decks and pergolas are cleaned and oiled or stained after the house, and garage floors can be ground and coated in epoxy as part of the same program.

We look at the condition of the existing paint, access, the number of colours and how much trim there is, then put a fixed price in writing with preparation, coats, repairs and access itemised. Yes. Award Painting Pty Ltd holds NSW Painting and Decorating Contractors Licence 222321C and carries $20M public liability insurance. Both are shown on every quote and can be checked against the NSW Fair Trading licence register.
Not successfully with ordinary paint. Hairline cracks are raked, filled with a flexible compound and coated in an elastomeric or premium acrylic that bridges small movement. Wider cracks or drummy render are repaired first. We check the whole facade during the walkthrough and itemise the repairs.

A full interior of a 3 or 4 bedroom home usually takes 5 to 8 working days. A full exterior takes 1 to 3 weeks depending on size, access and how much timber needs preparation. You get a start date and a finish date in writing, and the same crew stays on the job from the first day to the last.
A colour consultation valued at $275 is included free with every quote. We look at the orientation of each wall, the roof and brick colours you are keeping, the street and the light under your trees, then test sample boards on the house rather than choosing from a chip.
