Exterior consultations do the same work at facade scale: main walls, trims, gutters, fascias, front door and garage door selected as a set rather than one at a time. Every recommendation lands as specific named colours from the manufacturers' ranges, so the scheme transfers straight onto the painting quote and arrives on your walls exactly as agreed.

Selection starts with light, because light decides what a colour does on a wall. A south-facing Sydney room receives cool, consistent light that pushes whites towards grey; a north-facing room receives warm light that lifts yellows and creams. The same swatch reads differently in each, which is why a colour chosen under showroom lighting behaves differently at home.

The second constraint is the fixed elements that are not being painted: roof, brickwork, floors, benchtops, tiles. A scheme that ignores them fights them for as long as the paint lasts. Durability enters the decision too: deep exterior colours absorb more heat and fade faster on weather-facing walls, and the consultation weighs that before you commit.
