How much does it cost to paint a house in Sydney?+

Why do two painting quotes for the same house differ by thousands?+
Scope. One quote includes washing, scraping, priming, repairs and full masking; another prices two coats over whatever is there. Compare the preparation standard, the number of coats, the repairs included and the access allowance before you compare totals. Our quotes itemise all four.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Award Painting Pty Ltd holds NSW Painting and Decorating Contractors Licence 222321C, which you can verify on the NSW public register, and carries $20M public liability insurance. The certificate of currency comes with every quote package.
How long will my project take?+
A single room usually takes 1 to 2 days. A full interior repaint of an average home commonly takes 5 to 10 working days. Exteriors run a similar length but depend on weather. Your quote includes a start date and expected duration.
What happens if the preparation takes longer than expected?+
We carry that cost. The price we give in writing is the price you pay. Anything genuinely outside the agreed scope is documented, priced in writing and approved by you before it starts, never added as a surprise line on the invoice.
Do I need to move out while you paint?+
No. We work room by room, sheet every floor, wrap furniture and mask fittings, then tidy up every evening so the house stays liveable. Low-odour systems are available for bedrooms, nurseries and occupied units.
Is the colour consultation really free?+
Yes. The walkthrough, the written quote and the colour consultation valued at $275 are all free, with no obligation and no minimum job size. Colours are sampled on your actual walls in morning and afternoon light before anything is finalised.
